Scheme of Examination

Classes I & II

1. Semester System : Entire syllabus of classes I and II will be divided into two semesters and equal weightage will be given to both of the semesters for calculating annual results.


2. Weekly Assignments : Teachers will give weekly assignments of all the subjects to the students on every Friday and students are supposed to complete the assignment at home. These completed assignments will be submitted to the teacher on designated day. Four best assignments from each subject will be considered to the total of the semester. Each assignments will comprise of 5 marks.

3. Grades : Students will be braded in a 5 point grading scale :

4. Calculation of Final Results : Final result will be calculated on the basis of weekly assignments given to the student, Activity, surprise tests and semester exams.

Classes III–V

1. Semester System : Entire syllabus of classes III to V will be divided into two semesters and equal weightage will be given to both of the semesters for calculating annual results.

2.There will be four cycles of weekly tests spresad over the entire academic session.

3. Students will also be judged for co-scolastic activities.

Scholastic Areas

1. Students will be graded in a 5 Point grading Scale mentioned for class I & II.

2. Final result will comprise the marks of weekly tests, activities and Terminal Examinations.

3. All the weekly tests will be of 20 marks each and all the terminal exams will be of 50 marks each.

4. Marks of the activity will be divided into two categories :
(i) Notebook Maintenance : all the notebooks of all the students will be assessed before the end of the each term. Assessment will be based on the following criteria :
(a) Regularity 2 Marks
(b) Assessment completion 1 Mark
(c) Neatness 1 Mark
(d) Unkeep of the Notebooks 1 Mark
(ii) Subject Related Activities :
(a) Language Speaking/Reading/Dictation/Public Speaking
(b) Other Subjects : Subject Specific Activities/ Models/Charts/Projects/Map Work

Classes VI–XII

CBSE has proposed major changes in the examination for class X from the session 2017-18. The same system will be applicable from class VI onwards. Parents are advised to read and understand the below mentioned main points of the new examination system :
1. No Semester System : Annual examination will take place at the end of the session covering the complete syllabus of the session.
2. Scholastic Area :
(i) Student will be graded in 9 point grading scale.
(ii)
Final result will comprise the marks of Written Annual Examination of 80 marks and internal assessment of 20 marks.
(iii) Annual examination wil be conducted of 80 marks in which student need to secure 33% i.e. 27 marks to qualify for the next class.
(iv) Internal assessment comprises of Two Periodic Test for 5 marks each, Notebook maintenance for 5 marks and subject enrichment activities for 5 marks and a student has to secure 33% i.e. 7 marks to qualify for the next class.

Internal Assessment

(i) Two period tests will be of 50 marks and 80 marks for Midterm test. Best two will be reduced to 5 marks and added to the annual internal assessment. Syllabus covered in Periodic Tests

(ii) Periodic test schedule is already given in the Almanac.
(iii) Notebook Maintenance will be assessed before the end of the each term. Assessment will be based on the following criteria.
